Description: Join Two Maine Mermaids for a coldwater guided dip experience! We'll teach you our best tips, tricks, and favorite habits around this invigorating dipping practice. Bring an open mind, lots of questions, and love for the ocean!

Ice Safety Training with Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and Maine Warden Service

​Location: Highland Lake Public Boat Launch, 30 Lowell Farm Road, Falmouth

Dress: Dress for outside, winter conditions, waterproof footwear.

Description: Join members of the Maine Warden Service Dive Team for a hands-on session focused on staying safe on and around Maine’s frozen lakes and ponds. Learn essential safety tips, survival strategies, and self-rescue techniques while observing live demonstrations. This workshop takes place outdoors so please dress for winter conditions with warm layers, water-resistant outerwear, and waterproof footwear.

Cross Country Skiing with Portland Nordic & Portland Gear Hub

Dress: Come ready to ski. Dress warm. Portland GearHub will provide skis, boots and poles.​​

Description: Join the Portland Gear Hub and Portland Nordic for some easygoing cross-country skiing at Payson Park! Glide at your own pace along a 1km groomed loop. XC skiing is a fun, low-impact way to get outside, move your body, and enjoy winter. Beginner friendly! All abilities welcome.

Winter Hike / Snowshoe with Portland Trails

​Location: Conant Trails trailhead on Conant Street, Westbrook. Park on the street.

Duration: 1 hour (Session 1: 1:00-2:00pm | Session 2: 2:00-3:00pm)

Difficulty Level (1 Easy - 5 Strenuous): 1

Dress: Bring footwear that you can walk in in snow or on ice, such as snow boots, microspikes, snowshoes, etc. Wear warm layers. Bring a chair if you'd like to sit by the fire.

Description: Join Portland Trails for a gentle guided hike (or snowshoe, weather permitting!) along the Presumpscot River in Westbrook, and then enjoy s'mores, cocoa, and good cheer around a fire pit. The Conant Trails feature a memorial for Chief Polin, a Wabanaki champion of the river, as well as a tree swing, river access, and a path to the neighbor's barnyard. Learn about the history of the area as well as plans for future trail connections, then warm up by the fire!​

Disc Golf with JoySwich

Dress: Dress warm with gloves and winter traction footwear. We will provide the discs!

Description: Join JoySwich for 9 holes of winter disc throwing in the lovely setting of Payson Park. Be prepared for about a mile of walking, roughly 35-50 throws and some laughs.

Village Sauna Sessions

Location: Night Moves Bread, South Portland

Duration: 50 minutes (Session 1: 1:00-1:50pm | Session 2: 2:00-2:50pm)

Difficulty Level (1 Easy - 5 Strenuous): 5

The sauna will be heated to 180-190ºF, and guests are encouraged to listen to their body and step out of the sauna for breaks between 10-15 minute rounds. Please skip the sauna if you have: high blood pressure, heart conditions, or circulation issues; been drinking alcohol or using substances; epilepsy or diabetes; a tendency to get dizzy or faint easily; or are pregnant.

Dress: Wear clothes to sweat in — bathing suits and athletic clothes are great. Bring a towel and a water bottle.

Description: Village Sauna is a community mobile sauna based in South Portland. With a wood-fired stove and upper bench seating for up to 8 people, Village Sauna offers a space for people to spend time with friends and neighbors outdoors. The sauna is parked at Night Moves Bread & Lambs for the 2025-2026 season, giving sauna-goers a view of the Fore River.

Manufacturing Tour of Brant & Cochran Axes

Dress: Indoors. Safety glasses will be provided.

Description: Join us at Brant & Cochran, makers of heirloom quality camp axes, for a tour of our shop. We will turn on the forge and demonstrate how we take a billet of 1045 U.S. steel, apply heat and pressure to it, and end up with a finished axe that Field & Stream Magazine calls one the four best in the world.

Description: Come christen Kindling Collective’s brand new space and celebrate the beginning of MOES! You’re invited to visit our gear library, learn about our programming, drink local beers or NA seltzers, eat snacks, play some games, and get to know other MOES attendees. Kindling Collective is a queer-centered gear library and education center creating an accessible pathway to outdoor experiences in Wabanaki Confederacy Territory / Maine. We aim to build community and support people in growing and sustaining relationships with the natural world and each other.​​​​​​

Yoga with Ashley Flowers Yoga: Start your Summit day with a grounding, accessible all-levels yoga practice designed to awaken the body and focus the mind. No experience is necessary — just bring yourself and a willingness to breathe and move. Participants are welcome to bring their own mats if they prefer, but Ashley will also be providing mats. Meet in the Casco Bay, downstairs at the Holiday Inn.

Morning Run with Joan Kaijala, Founder of Running Peas: Join Joanie for an early morning easy run around the peninsula! We will meet in the lobby of the Holiday Inn By the Bay and run the Eastern Promenade, running our way towards Back Cove, and back to the hotel via Elm Street and Monument Square. Run total of 4-5 miles. Reflective gear/lights highly recommended.
